Coach Andy Gonzalez

A Houston native, Coach Andy Gonzalez moved to Austin in 2011 with his wife and children. Coach Andy earned his BJJ purple belt under Professor Mikal in 2020 and along the way has developed a passion for the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and passing his knowledge down to his students.

When Coach Andy isn't in at Aces BJJ Club, you can find him rock climbing, hitting the trails on his mountain bike, taking in the awesome live music Austin has to offer or just hanging out with his family.

"Practicing the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was something that I never saw in the cards for myself. Yet, here I am training with some of the best people in the sport and joining the coaching ranks at the top BJJ school in central Texas. This is something that I am incredibly proud of ... Not to mention that I am in my early 40s and in the best shape of my life.  If I can do it, anyone can.
